Sr. Freena Arshad graduated from Queens College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s in Childhood Education. She is New York State certified and has been teaching for six years, during which she has made a significant impact on her students’ lives. In her classroom, she emphasizes both social-emotional and academic learning, creating a well-rounded educational experience. Sr. Freena enjoys working with younger children because she believes that the early years lay the foundation for their future learning and development. Her dedication and patience make her a valued team member, as she consistently goes above and beyond to support her students. Furthermore, she fosters a nurturing environment where children feel safe to express themselves and take risks in their learning. Sr. Freena is also committed to professional growth, regularly seeking new strategies to enhance her teaching and better meet the diverse needs of her students. Her positive influence extends beyond academics, as she actively encourages a love for learning that her students will carry with them throughout their educational journey.
